Fun with Geoboards

Today we had such fun making cool shapes with geoboards. We have been learning about congruent shapes. A congruent shape is a shape that is the same kind of shape and same size.

Our "Snowpeople" Family

Karissa & Ethan decided to try and build a snowman. They worked so hard, but the snow was not sticking enough.

They decided to try and fill this empty trash can with snow.

They very carefully tipped it upside down, and out came the snow - not sticking together though. They decided to try it again, but again the snow was just not sticking enough.

They decided to forget the whole "trash can idea" and came up with the idea of using an icecream bucket instead. Here is the finished result...

It was fun to see them use their imaginations - it brought back a lot of memories when we were little and what we used to have fun and be creative.

Our National Bird

On the way to our friend's house for a fun afternoon, we saw this beautiful bald eagle. He was so fun to watch and very majestic!

Homemade Pizza

We made homemade pizza last week. The kids got to make their own pizzas. They had a lot of fun spreading the sauce and deciding on what toppings they wanted on them, but of course the "best thing of all" was eating the pizza ~ yum, yum.
