I Am Thankful For....

I just returned from making a quick trip to Walmart and I met one of the poorest families I have seen in a long time. They were so dirty and their little boy was so sweet, but you could tell that they did not have much money. It brought to mind a challenge that was given to us ladies at one of our Biblical Womanhood Classes. The challenge was to list at least 50 or more things that you were thankful for. Here are a few things from my list:

I AM THANKFUL FOR:
1. God.
2. Jesus - without Him there would be no remission for sins.
4. The Bible
5. My salvation.
6. My husband
8. My children
12. running water - can you imagine going to the lake every day for water?
14. Gasoline for my car & heat
16. clock/watch - without it I would always be late
18. My Godly parents & for the life they gave me.
25. My senses - sight, hearing, taste, smell, touch
30. Hair Products, curling irons
32. My computer - without it I would not be typing this
43. Signs (on the highway, on buildings ) - otherwise, I would forever be lost
50. My washing machine & dryer - can you imagine doing your laundry by hand?
64. Light, lamps & flashlights
70. Soap - need I say more
77. Musical Instruments
85. Laughter
91. God's grace
94. Godly Council
100. Salt & Pepper
These are just a few from my list. My challenge is to you: Next time you find yourself in the "gotta have it now" mood and the "green-eye jealously bug" comes knocking on your door, stop and make a list of everything you are thankful for. You will be SO amazed at how many wonderful things you already have. (This is really great for kids. It really helps them appreciate what they already have.) Have Fun!

So Blessed!

I am so blessed to married to one of the most talented men that I know. One of Joe's designs, recently won an award for "2008 Most Creative Kitchen."

This is the cover of the magazine that it was published in. It is called: Log Home Floorplans from the editors of Log Home Design - May 2008 Issue.

You can find the kitchen design on page 36. It is truly a beautiful kitchen.

We had a celebration party for Joe. We took him out to dinner and had this wonderful strawberry torte. It was so fun! We are so very proud of him. Way to Go, Honey! We love you!

Fun in the Mud!!

We tried last year's water boots on the kids and no kidding they were three sizes to small for each of them. We have been looking for some new boots for a couple of weeks now, and we came across these today. They were quite excited to get home and play in the mud. Remember the days?

Karissa had fun seeing how high she could make the mud fly up. Her skirt was quite soaked when she was done.

Ethan was running, and then suddenly "plop" he fell head first into the mud. He was quite dirty!

Happy Resurrection Sunday!

HAPPY RESURRECTION SUNDAY EVERYONE! WE LOVE YOU!

My Little Chefs!

The kids had so much fun helping me cook the other night. The menu was Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup with Chocolate Chip Muffins.

They looked so cute in these aprons.

Karissa made these yummy muffins all by herself.

Into the oven they go.

Ethan worked quite hard in cutting up the celery with his butterknife.

Into the pan they go!

Viola! Our Homemade Dinner! It was so very delicious!

MAKING JUICE!

We borrowed my mom's juicing machine, and had such much fun making fresh juice. The rule was: You had to use at least one kind of vegetable. So each of the kids made an apple/carrot juice.

A toast after so much hard work!

The kids had fun looking at all the pulp left over from the apples and carrots.
